Chavis definitely takes into account the current economy because it was published in April of this year. There are five parts and each chapter answers key questions about how to make money through real estate like: “Buy It, Rent It vs Fix It, Flip It”, “Where Should I Buy a Rental Property?”, and “Who Will Live There?” 1001 Ways to Make Money If You Dare by Trent Hamm has ideas so unique it begins with a disclaimer. Three of the fifteen chapters are titled “From the Comfort of Your Home”, “Use Your Body” and “Get Schooled.” Personal Finance EducationSmartMoney Magazine is the Wall Street Journal Magazine and is published on a monthly basis. Launched in 1992 by Hearst Magazines and the Dow Jones Company, it targets an audience of “affluent baby boomers, C-Suite executives and financial professionals” (SmartMoney Magazine, Our Mission). The magazine has over 3,000,000 readers including people who do not fall into their target audience. Right now SmartMoney can be subscribed to for one year for $10 by visiting their website; the price for a digital subscription from Barnes & Noble is $7.99 for one year. This year's October issue includes the articles “Ten Things Bankruptcy Court Won’t Tell You” and “Kitchen Cost Cutters.” SmartMoney is often viewed as a good read for beginning investors.
