Having a set written plan for house hold income can help alleviate some of the stress that money problems cause. Money is one of the main reasons that marriages end in divorce. Always share with a spouse when you are going to make any purchases that were not discussed in the monthly budget. If one spouse feels justified in making numerous frivolous purchases, it will take longer to get out of debt. The exact amount may vary depending the banking institution.
